Carver is a pumpkin, a knife, and a boss
Both 1.0 wikis describe the same chain for Carver, who brings pumpkin turrets. You find a pumpkin field on a Fields map in Meadows, keep the pumpkin, set a knife beside it, and beat that map’s boss. Drop any one of the three and the chain stops. Update 0.17 on 27 Oct 2025 is the patch that introduced the pumpkin. The First Cut achievement at 19.0% is the public percentage, not a difficulty rating I measured.
Astronaut, banana, chicken, Penny
The astronaut unlock is “defend the shuttle”. KosGuides, the game wiki, and deadlydayroadtrip.wiki all say that. They do not agree whether the shuttle is its own map or an event, or whether Canyon is required. I write the defence and leave the address in conflict.
The banana costume is in the base after your first upgrades. It is not a survivor, which is how the roster stays at 12. Chicken’s “craft three legendary items” line is the Early Access guide plus the Tinkerer achievement at 42.5%. The 1.0 wikis do not restate the Chicken step, so I will not call it reconfirmed. Penny needs three Rubber Balls active at once. That is in the 1.0 notes and a wiki, and Juggler sits at 14.6%. Death is a separate page because the trigger is still three stories.
Questions
Is the banana a character?
No. It is a costume found at the base after the first round of upgrades. Banana Banana is at 58.5% and tracks the costume, not a 13th survivor.
Can you still get Präsident Knabe?
The character came with a collaboration code when Early Access launched. The press release confirms Knabe Kola. It does not print a code, so this page does not either.
Where is the space shuttle?
One wiki says a dedicated shuttle map. Another says a random event, often tied to Canyon. Defending the shuttle is the shared step. Spaceshuttle achievement: 48.7%.
