Who is responsible
The operator of deadlyroadtrip.com is the controller for this website and for the choice it stores. Email [email protected] with any privacy request. The game studios, Pixelsplit and Sidekick Publishing, are not the controller for this site and do not receive its analytics or ad data from us.
What loads, and when
Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-GZN4T2Y74M), Microsoft Clarity (project z7b6p8gi89) and Adsterra (publisher 3403020, website 6169502) load on the first view. They are not held back until someone presses Accept. The cookie banner appears on a first visit so the choice is visible and can be withdrawn: Accept keeps them on, Reject turns them off and is remembered for 180 days. A returning visitor with a stored Reject gets a page with no analytics, session-recording or ad request, and Global Privacy Control is handled as Reject even on a first visit.
Google Analytics 4 counts page views and events and writes first-party cookies. Microsoft Clarity records how a session moves through the page (clicks, scrolls, and a masked replay) and writes its own cookies. Adsterra fills the in-page Native Banner and the fixed Social Bar at the bottom of the page; its script and the creatives it loads can set cookies or local storage on bicea.org, adsterra.com and on the advertiser’s own domain. The fixed bar can be closed with its × control; that choice is remembered in dr_ad_closed instead of returning on the next page load.
YouTube is not loaded with the page. A trailer is a locally hosted picture until you press Play; that click creates a YouTube iframe from youtube.com, and Google then applies its own cookies and privacy policy. Outbound links to Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, wikis and Discord leave this site and are governed by those sites.
The default provider requests use www.googletagmanager.com and www.google-analytics.com (Google), www.clarity.ms, scripts.clarity.ms and collection subdomains of clarity.ms (Microsoft), and bicea.org (Adsterra delivery). Reject disables these loaders. Ad creative domains can vary by campaign; the site does not embed Steam, console stores or community wikis as background requests.

Consent, withdrawal, and personalised ads
The default is on: analytics_storage is granted so Google Analytics 4 measures the visit, while the three advertising signals start denied until the stored choice is applied. On a first visit the site writes a granted record and opens the banner; Reject immediately moves all four signals to denied, removes the Adsterra tags, asks Clarity to stop recording, and reloads with all three providers disabled. The same switch is reachable later through Cookie settings in the footer. A stored choice lasts 180 days, after which the banner asks again.
You can object to personalised advertising without changing this site’s choice. Google’s Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com controls Google-served personalisation; the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out at optout.aboutads.info and YourAdChoices cover many other ad companies, including Adsterra’s partners. Browser controls that block third-party cookies also limit ad personalisation. Because Adsterra ads are on by default on this site, use Reject here first if you do not want the request made at all.
Legal basis, retention, and your rights
Publishing the guides is the operator’s legitimate interest. Analytics and session recording rest on the default-on choice described above, which you can withdraw at any time; ad storage and personalisation rest on the same choice. The consent record is kept for 180 days, correspondence for as long as needed to answer it and then removed, and server logs for a short operational period. Google, Microsoft and Adsterra keep their own data under the retention periods in their policies.
You can ask for a copy of correspondence, a correction, or deletion of what this site holds by emailing [email protected]. You can complain to your local data-protection authority. This policy changes by editing this page and its date; the date at the top is the date of the current text.
Questions
Do you run ads?
Yes. Adsterra supplies one Native Banner and one Social Bar on every page. Both load by default; Reject in the banner, or the Cookie settings link in the footer, turns them off and stores the refusal for 180 days. Adsterra adult ads are switched off in the publisher dashboard.
Does Reject also stop analytics and session recording?
Yes. Reject moves all four Consent Mode signals to denied, so Google Analytics 4 stops writing its cookies, and calls Clarity’s consent command. The page then reloads with Google Analytics, Clarity and Adsterra loaders disabled, ending active recording and ad scripts. Accept turns them back on. Global Privacy Control is treated as Reject.
How do I delete the choice stored here?
Open Cookie settings, choose Reject, or clear site data for deadlyroadtrip.com in your browser. You can also email [email protected]. Clearing site data removes dr_consent and dr_ad_closed; the next visit is treated as a fresh visit and the banner appears again.
